Peter Treuden

Peter Treuden brings knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles to the Cascio team. He has performed with many pop/rock, jazz, theater, and classical groups, both live and in the studio. From heavy-hitting rock to orchestral solo work, he has well-rounded experience as a player.

He says, "playing different genres keeps things fresh and interesting and the demands of each genre are different, so it's a great way to keep your chops up." From his experience at Cascio, he has developed a discerning ear to all of the different sounds available to today's drummers and percussionists. His own gear is a mix of many brands, and he switches gear often to fit the gig.

"If a drummer wants to play different styles effectively, I think it's important to have options," he says, "especially having a variety of snare drums and cymbals to choose from. The selection Cascio offers can really expand a player's sound palette."

Joel Shultis

Joel Shultis

Pro Audio

Joel is a self-taught sound engineer and musician, with a Bachelors of Science in Geophysics.

While attending college, his band put together a home studio with the intention of saving money on studio time. It grew into a music collective of many like minded people, wanting to create records with a basement tape vibe but near studio sound. Through the years they continued to complete projects rooted in DIY.

Joel drums for Behind the Weekend, and recently began releasing electronic music under the name Robot Noize. He continues to try to give home engineers an insight and the knowledge to produce an awesome sounding record with a less then perfect recording environment. He continues to search for ways to utilize his education in the audio realm and enjoys learning about other branches of physics and astronomy.
