Inspired by the hardware of the 50’s and 60’s, 6000 Series hardware features a lightweight aluminum flush base and music stand-style folding design.
It’s the lightest hardware we offer, yet performs surprisingly well for Rock players as well.

A scaled down version of the popular line-up of 6000 Series retro-styled, flush-base hardware, 6000 Series Ultralight™ stands utilize smaller diameter, lighter gauge steel tubing and a low mass tube joint for optimal portability. Other marquis features include a new Glide Tilter™ for exacting adjustment of cymbal and snare drum angles. An “old-school” snare basket design get a modern, spring-loaded make over and the hi-hat stand is as smooth and effortless as its 6000 cousin. Ultralight™ hardware is a perfect for bop kits, vintage sets and gigging drummers everywhere.

  • Perfect, almost.

It really gets old, lugging heavy weight gear in and out of the house, in and out of rehearsals, in and out of gigs. This stand is almost perfect... stable, crisp, cool to look at, and as light as a feather, at 5.03 pounds! As with any flat base stand, one must make sure the center is raised a good 1/2" off the ground before tightening everything up. You want to ensure that you're resting on three points, not four! Then, it's stable and remarkably solid. My only complaint is that the clutch is threaded the whole way down, leaving the hole on the top hat to scrape the threads. You can hear it, and so can a mic. I fixed it by wrapping some electrical tape over the threads where the felts and cymbal go. Voila! I do love this stand.

There has never been a flat base hi hat stand that doesn't wobble, and this one is no exception. It's well made and extremely light weight, and it performs pretty well. But it's not stable enough for me.
