Featuring innovative new technology from Roland, the KT-10 providesauthentic feel and playability in a low-noise kick trigger pedal forV-Drums sound modules and other electronic percussion instruments. Theall-in-one design offers fast, fluid response and a uniquereverse-action trigger mechanism that makes the pedal not only compactin size, but also far quieter in operation than a kick pad played with astandard pedal and beater. With its small footprint, the KT-10 is idealfor use alongside an acoustic kick pedal in a hybrid drum set, and italso works great for expanding the capabilities of an SPD-seriespercussion pad or the HandSonic HPD-20. Of course, the KT-10’s pro feel,noise-reducing features, and portable convenience make it perfect foruse with any V-Drums kit as well.

  • All-in-one kick trigger pedal with low-noise operation
  • Innovative reverse-action trigger mechanism provides authentic playing feel in a compact design
  • Extremely quiet performance, great for not disturbing others when playing V-Drums at home
  • Produces approximately 75 percent less noise in the playing room than a Roland KD-9 Kick Pad triggered with a standard beater (based on Roland test data)
  • Small footprint and low-profile body, ideal for use in a hybrid acoustic/electronic drum or percussion kit
  • Works with all Roland percussion products equipped with 1/4-inch trigger inputs, including the TM-2 Trigger Module, V-Drums sound modules, SPD-series percussion pads, and the HandSonic HPD-20
  • Solid construction, smooth performance, and attractive appearance
  • Adjustable spring and moveable weights allow for customization of playing response
  • Mix In jack for easy expansion with a second KT-10

I've been playing e-drums a loooong time, and have owned almost all of the various bass drum solutions including downward firing pedals, beaterless pedals, and various mesh bass drums. This one is simply the best there is. It's solid as a rock (I added heavy duty Velcro to the bottom), feels great (I prefer the weights in their stock position, but with the heavier spring tension setting), and extremely accurate as far as triggering and dynamics. There's an appropriate amount of "give" to the rubber sensor, which feels great and allows very fast footwork. I use two of these linked into one module input, and they perform flawlessly. I carry them in a Tama double pedal bag, and it's sure a simpler solution than carrying around a bass drum to trigger! The only downside is, it just looks a little weird to not have a big bass drums a visual anchor for the kit. But to not have to pack up a huge drum, it's a fair trade off. Excellent pedal, in every way.

I bought one of these pedals because I disliked the bulk of Roland's v-drum (mesh-pad style) kick triggers, and really disliked feel of Roland's small rubber pad style trigger. This kick trigger checks every box. Small, quiet, and feels incredibly like a real kick pedal. I wish more Roland kits came standard with this trigger.

I like the idea behind the Roland KT-10. Even with electronic drums, it can be hard to play in apartments or other shared spaces. The most common problem is the kick pad, which can be quite loud. I was hopeful when I saw this item that it would eliminate the volume problem and still feel great. It feels pretty good... not as good as a standard kick pad with a standard bass drum pedal, but much better than a springy foot switch. After playing for a while on it, my foot adapted somewhat. The downside may be the cost - it seems a bit high. It does a good job with volume, but for the price, it would be nice to get a really good-feeling pedal. Then again, if you can get a deal on one, it might be worth it.
