This mouthpiece is going to replace my Meyer 7M as my pop and funk mouthpiece. It will probably see quite a few straight ahead gigs too! When pushed it really opens up and bites, but it's fully capable of subtoning and darkening up nicely. Responds very well with a wide variety of reeds (both brands and stiffnesses)and really works great with the Rovner Versa ligature. I had a slight problem with it fitting over the neckpipe ring on my Yanagisawa 991, but I'll have my tech address that. Can't wait to get it in the studio!

Bari began with one man's mission to achieve a unique sound. Wolfe Taninbaum, the designer of the original Bari reeds and mouthpieces, was a musician who played under the stage name of Wolfe Tayne. After years of trying to perfect cane reeds, he turned to synthetics and in 1952 developed his first synthetic reed. It was the first one to gain acceptance from some of the world's top musicians.
