It has the feel of an old mouthpiece with an edge and tonal center of a modern mouthpiece! Felt great on my Yamaha 82ZII tenor and played with a lot of guts. I really like the response in all registers, and the tuning is spot-on throughout the entire range. It could just be my Yamaha though! I love this and can't wait to take it on more gigs.

Bari began with one man's mission to achieve a unique sound. Wolfe Taninbaum, the designer of the original Bari reeds and mouthpieces, was a musician who played under the stage name of Wolfe Tayne. After years of trying to perfect cane reeds, he turned to synthetics and in 1952 developed his first synthetic reed. It was the first one to gain acceptance from some of the world's top musicians.
