For the touring professional.  Heavy-Weight, duraboe, and engineered for high performance while withstanding full-impact play and frequent travel.

A radical new approach to suspending snares and toms, the new Atlas Pro snare stand's retractable, detachable basket -the Pillar Clutch- is the mounting solution every pro drummer has been waiting for.

  • The Pillar Clutch (Patent Pend.): A folding, removable snare basket mechanism designed for optimum performance, and strength with any drum.
  • Accommodates 10" to 16" drums: Sliding basket grips expand and contract at all three points.
  • Aerodyne Tilter: A gearless, dual-axis rotating positioning system that easily places the drum securely at any angle.
  • Low-Contact basket grips: The Pillar's low-tension basket clutch holds drums securely without choking the bottom hoop for maximum resonance.
  • Vice-Grip tube joint with integrated memory lock: Fully wrapped around the clamped tube, the new Atlas tube joint clamp delivers a rock-solid grip, with minimal stress to the support tubing.
  • Tripod Memory lock: For repeatable setups
  • Vibration Reducing Rubber Feet
  • Nylon lined tubing: Eliminates stand noise and secure stability.
  • 1.25/1" Tier Tubing: For solid stability and night-after-night durability.

Without a doubt, one of the finest snare stands ever produced! It is evident that Ludwig managed to let their engineers design this stand with complete control. The functionality is excellent and the attention to detail is second to none. This stand is heavy (weight and build) and solid as a rock! It also has infinite adjustment. I have looked at replacing my original 1977 Atlas tubular stands over the years (although they are still in great shape through thousands of gigs) but none of the ones I have looked at (all brands) "felt" as good as the original Atlas tubular. When I first saw these, I had to give them a try! It is amazing how good all (especially brass) snares sound with this basket. You get a very open sound with rock solid drum support. Kudos to the guys at Ludwig!!!! Good to see you back in the game!

This is the best snare stand I have seen thus far. It is heavy-duty and super-functional. Ludwig really thought this stand through. I love the pillar clutch feature. When I have previously mounted toms in snare stands, the resonance gets very restricted. The pillar clutch stand helps toms sing much more. For snare drums, there is also a difference, especially with vintage wood drums that need a little help resonating. If you don't mind carrying around a heavy snare stand, I would recommend this for sure.
