The abbreviation “MS” stands for Modular System, an integrated concept for Hohner’s harmonica design. MS-harmonicas benefit from innovations that improve the playing characteristics and also significantly facilitate maintenance and handling. All MS-parts (combs, reed plates and covers) can be combined individually. Simple screw connections allow for an easy assembly. This concept offers the possibility to the players to adjust the instruments to their individual requirements.

The latest addition to Hohner’s hand tuned diatonic harmonicas manufactured in Trossingen, Germany, the Blue Midnight offers a unique combination of features and construction that lets you master a wide range of tonal possibilities, puts you in control  of powerful dynamics, and makes evocative note bending easy – all at a value price.

Custom “Chicago style” tuning from Hohner’s vaults specially designed for those who straddle a passion for the postwar electrified Chicago blues of Little Walter Jacobs, and more modern blues players like Paul Butterfield who explored beyond the realms of the masters before them.
Trademark blue plastic comb allows for slightly brighter tone than standard black plastic combed models.
The Blue Midnight combines a plastic comb for comfort, ease of playing and durability with Blues Harp style stainless steel cover plates. These heralded cover plates boast a thinness over the reed plate that allows you to feel the vibration of the music, closed side vents to sweeten the tone, and wide open reinforced back ends for maximum volume and toughness.

  Product warrenty information

All instruments in our catalogs and on our shopping site carry the manufacturers' warranties against defects in parts and workmanship. Should a defect occur within the manufacturer's warranty period, contact us immediately.

We will be glad to help facilitate the repair or replacement as specified by the manufacturer. The manufacturer will determine whether the defect is covered under their warranty; we do not make that determination.

Please note: U.S.-based manufacturers WILL NOT honor warranties for items sold and shipped outside the U.S. Also, if a school, school district, or board of education purchases an instrument and resells it to an individual, the manufacturer considers the warranty to be void. Warranties are extended only to the original purchaser!

All warranties, stated or implied are held with the product manufacturer and they vary from item to item. Consult the documentation that came with your product for details in addition to the information below.
