Cymbal Buying Guide at Cascio Interstate Music
Not too dry, not too bright, not too washy, not too thick....in fact, just right. A sweet-sounding cymbal indeed, with a versatile 21" diameter.

  • Workhorse Ride Cymbal

Impressed with this workhorse that is a ride cymbal. I play mostly rock with some ballads, country, and jazz songs thrown in and this ride gets the job done. The bell is great, good projection and cuts through the band sound mix well enough that it stands out, but not too much. There is a great mix of stick definition, or ping, to it as well as wash. I tend to prefer ride cymbals with a lot of ping, but this is a happy medium for me. This ride does everything I need it to, I can crash it for louder rock songs, or lay down a nice swing pattern for the quiet jazz songs. I would definitely recommend this ride to anyone looking for a good all-around ride cymbal.

This cymbal plays great in many styles of music. It's not too bright and not too dark. You can crash on it and it sounds great! Satisfies a wide range of applications.

A great overall ride cymbal - this ride works very well for a variety of styles. You could use this for anything from jazz to pop and it would sound nice. It is not very loud, so it likely wouldn't work for getting high stage volume, but for most other gigs, it should be great. It crashes easily, but at the same time, it's not so thin that the bell or bow are lacking. If you're looking for a versatile ride cymbal, this is a good choice.
