This is my main ride cymbal for most of my playing. It has a rich, dark sound. I have several Constantinople ride cymbals, and I'd say this medium ride is probably the most versatile. It works great for jazz (combo and big band), funk, latin, and even some pop-type music. It crashes OK - not great, but that's what you get with a medium ride. The stick definition is really nice, however, and it doesn't get out of control, even at higher volumes. Great cymbal!
