Axis Double Bass Drum Pedals have all the same features as their single pedal counterparts with the addition of the high quality twin U-joint linkage assembly. Axis Bass Drum Pedals are now available with a longer, extended footboard. Longboards extend the usable footboard area by 2 inches. This design greatly increases leverage and power by allowing the entire leg (calf and knee) to be powerfully expressed with the utilization of heel-toe strokes. The Longboards upgrade will refit any existing Axis pedals.

  • The best pedals you can buy

These pedals react exactly to what your foot is doing, it almost feels like you are just playing on the floor with no pedal under your foot. They are so smooth and powerful; when I first put them on my bass drum it was shaking all over the place because they are so powerful. Because the footboard is so long, you can get many different feels from the pedal depending on where your foot is on the pedal. It's not like other pedals where only one "sweet spot" on the pedal works, either, it has good response and power everywhere. The beater has a good balance of power and speed, and I like that it's rubber and not felt. The hoop clamp is a little bit hard to get on and off mainly beacuse there is so much velcro on the bottom of the pedals so it always gets stuck to the floor when I'm trying to attach it but its really easy to tighten and loosen; its just a knob/key type thing that you would see on any other hardware. I feel that the pedal height is fine where it is, I would prefer to have the a series to fine tune the footboard heights even more, but it feels fine right out of the box. If you have the money, I suggest buying the A series, but you will probably have to buy a new beater because not many people like them, but for $80 less (or around $120 if you get new beaters) these definitely are worth it. One more thing, they can be converted into two singles if you get another spring assembly (PA993MTS) for $77, you just have to put it on the mount on the left side of the slave pedal (There is already a slot for another beater on that side)

  • The A21 pedals have all the performance features of the Axis pedals with increased magnitude. The A21 was designed to accelerate the beater into the bass drum with greater force and velocity, and to incorporate the Variable Drive Lever for greater adjustability. The 21degree power forward beater angle has been integrated into the beater bracket to maximize the beater impact. The Variable Drive Lever settings farther forward produce a deeper footb...
