The supercardioid e 906 instrument microphone was especially designed for guitar amplifiers, but it is also an excellent choice for percussion and brass instruments.

Designed for demanding, uncompromising professional use. Discerning musicians and sound technicians know there is only one true "go to" microphone when the best is required...Sennheiser. The Sennheiser e906 cardioid instrument microphone was specifically designed for guitar amps, and is also excellent for percussion and horns. It's flat shape is perfect for guitar amps and it's extra-resistant reinforced metal body makes it road-tough. Sennheiser has a world-beating reputation for superior sound solutions. • Amazing Mik!

Love this microphone. It has a nice clarity in the highs that the e609 is missing, but at the same time, does not have the low end the e609 has. Pair them together, and you have an amazing guitar sound! For live recordings, it really isolates the guitar keeping bass and cymbals out. Recently have been trying it on snare with decent but not amazing results. The null has helped with hi hat bleed though! Highly recommend!

The best mic for guitar amps/cabs. With the ability to simply drape this over your amp or sound source, you alleviate the need for another mic stand. In addition, it's design blocks out other sounds, making it perfect for live performances. It also can be used on percussion and most brass instruments, for the non guitar players.
