This 5-string masterpiece is the end result of a collaboration of Ibanez and master bassist Gary Willis. Crafted by the same master luthiers who brought you the Bob Weir Limited Edition, it is made of well-grained light ash that's left natural for a look of sheer elegance. The GWB style neck is 3-piece maple, with an Ebonol fingerboard that has offset pearl dot inlays and fret markers. An impeccable tone is provided by the Bartolini pickup that's made just for this bass, as well as the Bartolini NTBT EQ. The black hardware includes a STD bridge, sealed tuners, and multiple strap buttons for different playing positions. Case not included.

The "early" history of Ibanez began in 1908 when the Hoshino company began as a sheet music store. The "modern" history of Ibanez includes their work with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert for hard rock/instrumental guitars. Ibanez is also one of the top selling bass companies and offers an impressive line of jazz boxes.
