If you are an advanced student but can't afford a full professional instrument, this will get you very far without breaking the bank. It's serviceable and well built, has enough tone quality to be successful as a performer and student, and resale value is great. The Band and Orchestra associates at the retail store helped me get one on a budget and I've never been happier!
