Mapex Saturn Series matches the finest, thinnest plies of North American Maple with a selection of dark, rich walnut. The result is a beautifully hand crafted drum with a remarkably wide tonal range. The Saturn is exacting enough for any and all studio applications and has been thoroughly road tested by nearly every professional artist on the Mapex roster. These snare drums feature 6 ply, 5.1mm maple walnut shells, 8-coat hand rubbed high gloss lacquer, Mapex low mass lugs, 2.3mm chrome steel Powerhoops, and Remo Emperor drumheads. Mapex's low mass lugs are secured to the shell via only one point of penetration. Fewer holes in the drum shell means less vibratory interruption, resulting in truer tone and unimpeded resonance. Made from 2.3mm chrome steel, the Mapex Powerhoop provides flex resistance without adding unnecessary weight that may mute the drum.

This snare drum is a floor model and may have slight stick marks on the drumhead. Overall this drum is in excellent condition.
