Evans EMP14A MX 14" Marching Snare Drum System Drumhead
This combination pack of an MX Batter, MX Snare Side, Staccato Disk, and X-treme Patch offers durability, quality and sonic versatility at a reasonable price. A Kevlar snare side drumhead is also included. The MX Batter is a thin Aramid fiber/polyester composite that provides maximum snare response and high durability. An overtone control ring eliminates unwanted hum and enhances articulation. The MX Snare Side delivers extremely high durability and resistance to delamination, while delivering depth, projection, and a softer, more traditional snare drum feel. The Staccato Disk is a flat circle of Retro Screen mesh fitted to the snare side head. It eliminates unwanted overtones and excessive snare buzz, while maintaining projection. The X-treme Patch divides the head into distinct playing zones, each offering its own sound and feel. The solid section gives noticeable pitch differentiation while the grill section simulates a guiro or scratch sound.
