New Berlin, WI (March 10, 2010) - Cascio Interstate Music and Ibanez Guitars will present rock guitarist Joe Satriani at Cascio Interstate at 138th & National Ave. in New Berlin, for an in-store meet & greet/autograph session on Sunday, March 21, from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm.

Joe Satriani is an instrumental rock guitarist with multiple Grammy nominations, who has sold over 10 million records worldwide. “Satch” began his musical life in the mid-70s, studying jazz music at first. He began to teach, and his most famous student was another guitar master, Steve Vai. Others students were Kirk Hammett of Metallica and Alex Skolnick of Testament.

Satriani released his first solo album in 1986, titled “Not of this Earth.” But it was with his second album, “Surfing with the Alien,” that he found commercial success. Satriani is currently part of the hugely successful band Chickenfoot, with Michael Anthony and Sammy Hager, previously of Van Halen, and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Satriani's latest record is the double CD “Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock,” released in February of 2010.

Satriani has also played with Mick Jagger, Deep Purple, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Larry LaLonde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Brian May, Patrick Rondat, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert, Adrian Legg, and Robert Fripp. In 1996 he established the G3 concert, an annual tour comprising of himself and two other guitarists. debuted last season as a high quality NBA entertainment package for selected Milwaukee
Bucks home basketball games ... a 21-piece drumline that is wild, loud, and brings the house

SuperStore in New Berlin, Bucks Wild! will be holding open auditions for marching
percussionists, for the 2009-2010 NBA season.

Smashing Pumpkins’ Drummer To Sign Autographs at Cascio, Saturday, September 12

(September 2, 2009) – Cascio Interstate Music, 13819 W. National Ave. in New Berlin, will host a free autograph session by former Smashing Pumpkins' drummer Jimmy Chamberlin on Saturday, September 12th from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.

Chamberlin remains one of the most talked about and influential drummers in rock music. A founding member of The Smashing Pumpkins, his powerful, sometimes over the top, yet always tasteful playing has been the driving force behind many of the band's biggest hits. Jimmy's own band is called Jimmy Chamberlin Complex.

Chamberlin appears as part of the Zildjian On Tour 2009 sales event. Zildjian is bringing in 50 one-of-a-kind Sound Lab prototype cymbals along with factory reps, as well as offering a free pair of sticks with any cymbal purchase.

Cascio Interstate Music’s “Groove” Stage at Summerfest ‘09
Features 85 Local and Original Bands
Cascio Stage Moves to New and Improved Summerfest Location

New Berlin, WI (May 14, 2009) – In keeping with a 63-year history of promoting
Milwaukee-area musicians and their music, Cascio Interstate Music, Wisconsin’s largest music
store and among the nation’s largest Indie music companies, heads once again into Summerfest
with eleven straight days of LIVE, LOCAL and ORIGINAL Music. From Thursday, June 25th
through Sunday, July 5th, the Cascio Interstate Stage will exclusively feature over 85
Milwaukee/Wisconsin area bands during the Summerfest run.

This year, the Cascio Stage is moving to a new and improved location, the former
Chipotle Rhythm Kitchen Stage, located between the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse and the
Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard stages. This location offers fans a larger area with ample,
improved seating and sound, in a green space with benches and tables for festival-goers to relax
and enjoy the music. The Cascio Stage offers fans the opportunity to see up-close just what
Milwaukee has to offer in the way of new and original music.

John JR Robinson grew up in Iowa and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. While touring with his own band, Rufus and Chaka Khan came into the club where he was playing, and ended up finishing the 1978 Rufus World Tour – his big break. In late 1978, John was introduced to Quincy Jones, which led to John’s involvement on the recording of Off The Wall for Michael Jackson.

Jeff Coffin Presents Free Live Performance Clinic in Wisconsin
At Cascio Interstate Music and Marquette University

Saxophonist for Dave Matthews Band and Belà Fleck & The Flecktones

New Berlin, WI (March 11, 2009) Saxophonist Jeff Coffin of Belà Fleck & the Flecktones and the newest member of the Dave Matthews Band, performed a live performance clinic for hundreds of onlookers on the Main Stage inside Wisconsin's Cascio Interstate Music on Saturday, February 14th. Sponsored by Cascio Interstate and Yamaha, the all-day event also featured performances from four high school jazz ensembles who received special critiques from Jeff, as well as Jeff performing on his own and with guest musicians at the end of the event.
Jazz ensembles from Brookfield Central High School, Marquette University High School, Muskego High School, and Hartford Union High School each performed for about 50 minutes, and each director and band welcomed Jeff Coffin's advice and critique of their performances. Jeff addressed specific musical elements he heard in a way that was interesting, honest and thought-provoking in order to improve each band’s sound. Cascio Interstate CEO Mike Houser stated, "Jeff Coffin's commitment to the education of young adults and his music was really inspirational to everyone he touched during the weekend. His ability to help "draw out" and inspire these kids was exceptional!"
At the end of the event, Jeff showcased his own brilliant playing with musicians from the Milwaukee area, most of whom are teachers at Cascio Interstate. Jeff also invited other sax players to the stage, to cap off an exciting day of music.
Representatives from Yamaha Band Instruments were on-hand, displaying the latest Yamaha saxophones and other wind instruments. In addition, Cascio's band instrument repair manager Bob Viviano and assistant Bill Baldrige were stationed in the front of the store, performing free repairs and demonstrating to the many teachers and pro musicians in attendance how Cascio Interstate's repair service is top-notch in the Milwaukee area. Food and drink were provided by New Berlin's Eisenhower High School Band Boosters program.
The previous day, on February 13, Jeff spent the day at master classes with the Marquette University Jazz Ensemble and their director, Dr. Erik Janners. An evening band concert followed, featuring Jeff, which was also sponsored by Cascio Interstate Music.
Jeff Coffin, well-traveled saxophonist/composer has been a long-time member of Béla Fleck & the Flecktones, who received their third Grammy Award on February 8, for their Christmas release, "Jingle All The Way." Jeff has also performed with musicians of all walks, including Branford Marsalis, McCoy Tyner, Garth Brooks, Phish, Van Morrison, The Dixie Chicks, and John Scofield, and is the newest member of the Dave Matthews Band, having just recently completed their newest album.
Jeff also leads his own group, The Mu’tet. He’s played on hundreds of recordings, and has performed around the world including a 2007 performance at the esteemed Carnegie Hall. He is well known for playing two saxophones (alto and tenor) at the same time, a technique popularized by Roland Kirk. Streetlife with Warren Wiegratz performs a unique blend of R&B, Smooth Jazz, and Contemporary styles, combining superb musicianship and vocals with an exciting stage presence. They have been honored with many nominations and awards at the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (WAMI), including "Best Adult Contemporary Group" and "Best Contemporary Jazz Group" in Wisconsin. Their first release "Both Sides of the Street" received outstanding airplay nationwide.
The house band for the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, Streetlife also plays throughout the year at many regional and national music festivals, including Milwaukee's Summerfest and Rainbow Summer, while regularly conducting numerous music clinics and concerts at high schools and colleges throughout the state of Wisconsin.
Numerous helpful playing and performance tips will be demonstrated at this clinc, including: Knowing Your Instrument, Playing Different Styles, Reading Ability, Preparing for Performances, Chord Progressions, Memorization, On-stage Communication, plus much, much more.

Streetlife's leader and featured artist, Warren Wiegratz, has received the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award (WAMI) for Reed/Brass Instrumentalist of the Year an unprecedented eleven times. Warren recorded four highly successful albums with Jazz/Fusion group Sweetbottom, and later formed the popular contemporary jazz group Oceans that recorded two nationally-released albums. As a composer, Warren has scored two motion pictures, Dreamweaver and Lady Mary. Warren is resident composer/arranger for BeatHouse Music, writing music extensively for commercials and audio/visual projects.
Streetlife drummer and co-leader Ryan Schiedermayer is a skillful drummer, percussionist, and songwriter who masters rhythmic nuances to create a soulful, dynamic sound. He is particularly well-versed in Latin, Jazz and R&B music. Ryan teaches drum set and Latin percussion to students at Cascio Interstate Music. He is also a member of the academic staff of UW-Milwaukee and works as an instructional accompanist for the Peck School of the Arts. His first solo album, "Sentido" is scheduled for release in early 2009.
Guitarist Peter Mac’s past projects include The Converters, an all-original trio, plus the Peter Mac Trio, as well as three solo albums with a fourth one on the way. An established studio musician and solo artist, Peter has opened for a wide variety of renowned national and international artists, and has recorded national commercials and more than one hundred fifty radio station ID's. Peter teaches over sixty guitar students per week at the Waukesha Conservatory of Music.
Bassist Leonard Adams has vast experience playing with a range of musicians both locally and while touring the world. He is accomplished in a wide variety of musical styles, and has played on several different world tours for the U.S. Department of Defense and USO.
Lead vocalist Joe Jordan is now in his tenth season as the lead vocalist of Streetlife. Jordan also sings The National Anthem at many major professional sporting events.  Jordan has toured with his group SOULTRIO and other local groups, and has opened up for many national acts. Jordan teaches 1st & 2nd grade at Starms Elementary School in Milwaukee. He is currently working on his seventh CD project scheduled for release this summer.
Vocalist Rhonda Begos is full of soul, spirit, and meaningful expression. Rhonda attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has performed with the Eddie Butts Band, Body Language, Jon Paris, Cold Sweat, Hot Sauce, the North Coast Orchestra, and her own band, Midnight Groove. Rhonda also sang backup with Susan Tedeschi on the Conan O’Brien show in 2005. Rhonda performs the National Anthem for the Milwaukee Brewers, Bucks, Admirals, Wave, and at other patriotic events throughout Wisconsin.
