"Lead" is based on a US-made high-gain boutique amp, further modified for lead guitar. It also contains a digital delay effect, delivering a huge, spatial sound that could not be previously obtained, and giving you a rich and full-fledged lead sound that you can play anytime and anywhere. For the bassist,

"Bass" is modeled on VOX's classic AC100 bass amp, and expands its potential with a full-range tone that supports today's bass sounds. A compressor/boost effect provides not just compression but also a thick overdrive sound, giving you the perfect tones for performing in any style. Careful attention has been paid to the sound quality, and a high-quality FET buffer circuit has been used to obtain even greater dynamic range.

The oringial models are still available in three different sound styles: VOX AC30, Classic Rock, based on a UK-made amplifier head, and Metal, based on a California-made high-gain amplifier head. Even with its ultra-compact size, amPlug perfectly reproduces the complex and warm distortion that is distinctive of a vacuum tube, as well as the powerful high gain produced by a large amp stack. There's also a Tap Button that makes it easy to set the delay time or modulation speed.

Notch up your tone control.
The DA15 delivers a surprising amount of tonal control. Program and tweak your own combination of amp and effects settings and then save them using the amp's Channel Select mode. Two user program locations offer instant access to your favorite sounds. With Manual mode (where you hear exactly what the knob settings indicate) you have instant access to three different sounds.

Plug in the optional VFS2 dual foot-switch and switch between the two user programs or bypass the effects. Alternatively, you can choose to have the foot-switch activate Manual mode instead of Effect Bypass, which gives you, hands-free switching between three different sounds: the two user programs, and the manual setting.

Great for practicing and recording.
The DA15 is equipped with a combination Line/Headphone output so you can connect to a headphone, mixer or recorder. The amps' emulated line out provides a full, realistic sound whether you're recording direct or listening through headphones.
