Jimmy held his clinic at the Piggly Wiggly stage at Summerfest on Friday, July 2nd from 12:30-2:30.
JIMMY RILEY IS AN AWARD-WINNING WRITER/PRODUCER who has an amazing ability to bring out the best in artists with his solid skills in songwriting, unique arrangements and radio-ready production. That’s his first love but it’s just the beginning of what he brings to the table. An accomplished player with quite an arsenal of musical talents, Jimmy is often called upon for session work on vocals, guitar, mandolin, lap steel, dobro, bass, and percussion.

Jimmy is a musical director at Willow Creek Community Church, one of the nation’s largest non-denominational churches serving 17,500 people each Sunday. In that capacity, Jimmy produced a CD for Willow Creek that received a lot of interest from Hillsong Music in Australia as they looked for ways to reach a younger audience. Called “Walk with You,” the CD features a collection of worship songs targeted to 13 to 15 year olds. The CD, which includes two live cuts, has been very popular at Willow Creek.

Jimmy has played with a long list of top-tier award winning Christian artists at Willow Creek, including Nicole Nordeman, Tommy Walker, Kerry Livgren, Abe Loborel, Israel Houghton, Curt Coffield and many more. He can shift easily between a variety of musical genres, including country, rock, pop and Christian music.
