Precision-made with great tonewoods
Japan makes some very fine instruments, including the Ibanez SR5BBLTD Premium bass. Ibanez chose an ash body with a Buckeye burl top for exceptional low-end impact, rich sustain, and eye-catching looks. The Ibanez SR5BBLTD incorporates a 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck that offers you killer stability, playability, and tone.

Great tone from Nordstrand Big Single pickups
Whether you're playing slap-heavy funk, or warmly muted reggae tones, the SR5BBLTD's pair of Nordstrand Big Single pickups have you covered. These pickups have a rich and solid character to them, with powerful sound-shaping potential from the onboard EQ-IIISC controls. You have control over boost/cut for bass, mid, and high frequencies, with a mid-frequency switch to fine-tune your midrange tone.

The "early" history of Ibanez began in 1908 when the Hoshino company began as a sheet music store. The "modern" history of Ibanez includes their work with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert for hard rock/instrumental guitars. Ibanez is also one of the top selling bass companies and offers an impressive line of jazz boxes.
