For the money, this is a really nice snare drum. It seems to be constructed well. This would be a good all-purpose drum that would work for various styles of music. The color is really cool, a mix of gold and silver sparkle. This drum should sound OK with the original heads when tuned properly, but it will definitely sound even better with a new top head on it.
