  • Paiste got it right!!

I am an avid Paiste user and currently use the 2002 series. I've also have a few Alpha series and was interested in the PST models but the sound I felt was weak and thin. Pretty much what you'd expect in an entry level cymbal. I'm a semi professional drummer that gigs regularly and I'm very particular about my sound. When the PST 8 series came out I was intrigued and was impressed with the sound files on the Paiste web site so I ordered an 18" Medium PST 8 crash from Cascio. I can tell you I LOVE this cymbal! It sounds more like a professional cymbal from other major manufacturers. The reflector finnish looks fantastic under stage lights. The sound is a shimmering silver and quick attack with a sustain more like a medium thin cymbal. I used this cymbal as a replacement to a 2002 18" Medium crash and it mixes in great with my other 2002s. I actually like it better than my 2002 I replaced it with. I will definitely be purchasing more PST 8 series in the future. The BEST sounding cymbal for the price. BUY IT.
