Nice attention to detail! Good projection throughout. "E" string plays clearly without being overly bright. Steady, even medium tone (no complexity). A great advancing level instrument! Flamed maple back & sides, seasoned spruce top. Ebony pegs w/ matching tailpiece and endbutton.

4/4 size violin outfit with carved top, back and sides. Outfit includes brazilwood bow and oblong case.

The Ravel 100 is really an excellent student violin. It's hard to find something in this price range that is well-constructed and not overly coated in tone-killing lacquer. It will definitely take a beginner farther than a lot of other student instruments.
