The one-handed triangle is a cool idea that can benefit certain players. There are rhythms you can play with this that cannot be played on a standard triangle. Faster latin-type rhythms with choke-sustain patterns work quite well. Also, triangle rolls sound OK. The downside is that single notes are a bit anemic. This could be great for theater orchestra players or drum set players who want to add an interesting pattern over a backbeat or tom groove.
