D'Addario XL 11's have my been string of choice for so long now it's hard to remember...I'll try different brands, GHS, Fender, Elixer, etc. but I always come back to my D'Addario 11's. There's just something about them. But not to just wax poetic about my favorite, this particular gauge works so well for such varied genres...think everything from rock, jazz, blues, fusion, and more. The notes just scream out with a bit of overdrive on bends but turn down the gain and tone a bit and you have perfect jazz tone for octave solos. Plus, they last longer then lighter gauges, especially if you keep 'em clean. Great deal on 3 sets of a great string!
