I was very surprised at the quality of this drum set. The drums have a really nice tone and they look great. The hardware is heavy-duty and very functional. Even the Evans drum heads are nice. This kit only comes in one configuration, but the sizes are good for all-purpose playing. There is enough low end that the fusion sizes Should work just fine. For a beginner, this would be a great kit that would last a long time - just add a decent cymbal set and throne. For more advanced players, this would make for a nice practice kit or even a secondary gigging kit.

Shells are 5-ply, with 1/16" inner and outer plys of American Red Oak and a 3-ply Maple core, and a du...

The result is Epic, a new series of drums crafted for every player from the gigging workhorse to the seasoned pro.
