Introduced in 1971, the Renard Model 222 bassoon's long bore design can be identified by its very warm "round" tone, with even balance and excellent intonation throughout the entire range. The reasonable price and durable wooden body make this instrument a popular choice for new bassoonists and school music programs looking to add a wooden bodied instrument to their bassoon section.
Maple, selected for maximum durability and naturally aged in our own facilities. Durable synthetic linings in the wing joint and small bore of the boot joint. German bell (white ring). Body lock.

All instruments in our catalogs and on our shopping site carry the manufacturers' warranties against defects in parts and workmanship. Should a defect occur within the manufacturer's warranty period, contact us
We will be glad to help facilitate the repair or replacement as specified by the manufacturer. The manufacturer will determine whether the defect is covered under their warranty; we do not make that determination.

Warranties are extended only to the original purchaser!
All warranties, stated or implied are held with the product manufacturer and they vary from item to item. Consult the documentation that came with your product for details in addition to the information below.
